MELGO, the first ice-cream and pastry industry in Greece, was founded In 1966 by Athanasios Karagiozis. During the decades that followed, the small industry managed to blossom despite the difficulties of that time, and today, more than 50 years later, with a new name, MELGO is a leader in the confectionery and ice cream sector in Greece. The third generation of the Karagiozis family, inspired by the vision of grandfather Athanasios, does not stop developing MELGO and with pioneering ideas and innovative products has earned a prominent place in the wider confectionery sector in the country.
Since 2008, the new facilities of MELGO are operating in the 12th km of Thessaloniki - Lagada. The company has invested in state-of-the-art equipment to meet the growing demands of its customers. The highly trained staff combined with modern technology allows MELGO to produce a huge range of high quality pastry products. The continuous development of the company is reflected in the launch of innovative products that make the difference in the Greek market.
